Here’s your chance to participate in shaping the direction of our community.
The Evanston-Creekside Community Association (ECCA) is having our
2^nd Annual General Meeting (AGM),
on April 23^rd, 2008 @ 7:00pm, at the Beddington Community Centre.

So, what’s in it for you? Well, a major decision will be the action to take with our bunny problem. As an ECCA member, your vote will directly determine what we do, or don’t do. Many people complain about the issue, well, here’s you chance to do something about it!

We’ll also be electing the new ECCA board for the upcoming year. If you’ve wanted to see kids programs get started, plan community events, get road and traffic issues addressed, or have community safety and security ensured – this is your chance. Anyone who becomes a member of the ECCA, can run for any board position - past experience is not necessary.

The process is simple – you don’t have to put up signs, or go door knocking. Get one ECCA member to nominate you, and another to ‘second’ your nomination, accept your nomination, and you’re in the running. At the AGM, all ECCA members will get a vote, and the nominees with the most votes will be elected.

For Executive positions (President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary), nominations must be presented to the ECCA board at our next board meeting on April 7^th, 7:30pm @ Creekside Coop, upstairs in the community room. However, for all other board positions (Named Directors and Directors-at-Large), you can either be nominated at our next meeting, or even right at the AGM.

All of the positions are open for election at our AGM, not just the ones that are currently vacant. Look on Page 3 of our newsletter for a list of the positions for the Executive & Board of Directors, and the Directors-at-Large. We will have more information on our website about what each position entails if you’re interested.
